Dismantling Racism, by Joseph R. Barndt, is the first book we recommend. It introduces the analysis we use in our anti-racism work.

White by Law: The Legal Construction of Race, by Ian F. Haney Lopez, is a book that we highly recommend. Lopez explores race as an artificial construct that defines who has legal access to social power and privilege.

We also recommend Uprooting Racism, by Paul Kivel, as a good book to delve into the issue of systemic racism. It has an excellent built-in study guide that makes this book great for use in small groups or classes.
